Our 5th graders will have the opportunity to visit Longfellow, our feeder middle school this month. They will tour the campus, visit elective courses, and experience the Spartan Band Showcase. This will give our students the opportunity to experience middle school option. Some of these course offerings are also offered at Choice middle schools.

Ms. De La Rosa, our librarian, has shared the following information. TCEA is hosting a Chat with Santa and a Read Aloud, Tuesday, Dec. 7th 2:00 pm. Free Food For FamiliesSan Antonio Independent School District, in partnership with the San Antonio Food Bank, is hosting drive-through food distribution events throughout the District to help SAISD families in need.

December Food Distributions are scheduled for December 8th and December 15th.

Distribution is on a first come, first served basis, while supplies last.

What is the SHAC?

The SAISD School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) is an advisory group created of Board-appointed individuals representing the SAISD community. The majority of the group’s members are parents; the council may also include health care professionals, students, educators, and administrators. This advisory group recommends policies, procedures, strategies, and curricula that contribute to a healthy and positive impact on student learning.
