WrAPPING UP THE FIRST QUARTER
It's hard to believe that we will soon be wrapping up the first quarter of the school year this next week. As we move into the upcoming fall break, we have a lot to celebrate!
- Our students are learning and many have "caught up" from the Covid breaks and all of the inconsistency they brought to schools.
- Within each classroom, students have just recently finished CASE testing, providing teachers with valuable information about each student's progress toward standards mastery and how best to meet their individual needs moving forward.
- We welcomed grandparents back into the building for Grandparents' Week. What a change this was from the past couple of years when we were unable to invite guests in. It has been great reconnecting with families and watching students light up as their visitor joined them in the cafeteria.
- We have held two family nights - one here at the school and one in conjunction with the LJ Public Library. It feels so good to have our families back in the building and working with us to both continue learning as a family.
- We kicked off our first ever attempt at "clubs" during the school day, providing students with opportunities to participate in activities that interest them. From archery to crochet and from Show Choir to yoga and gardening, these clubs build relationships with students across various grade levels while developing their interests.
We are looking forward to the second quarter and the celebrations of learning we will be able to share with you!
