Dear Parents / Carers,
We have had a lovely settled week this week and it has been great to see the amazing learning that is already going on in school. The children are enthusiastic about their learning and it has been a calm and purposeful start to the year.
I am pleased to have a new Head boy and girl in place already. Congratulations to Freddie and Ella who wrote excellent, thoughtful and well considered speeches for the panel of myself, Mr Priory and Mrs Cameron. I know that they will carry out their roles with pride this year. The school vote for our new team captains also takes place today so I am looking forward to seeing who will take on these sought after positions.
You may have received a call from the school office this week regarding school dinners. The new Trust pre-ordering system means that we don't know if your child has a packed lunch or if you have just forgotten to preorder a dinner, therefore it would help us a lot if all parents could use the system to confirm whether your child requires a school dinner or whether they have a packed lunch. The system can be pre-populated for the whole term or year to make it less onerous so if you know your child has a packed lunch every day, then you only need to pre-fill it for the whole year once. Thanks in advance for this.
Finally, Reverend Paulie has asked me to remind you that the parish Harvest Festival service takes place on Sunday 24th September at St. Marys. All are welcome and if any of the children would like to perform a song, read a poem or a short piece or perform in some way at the service, then please contact Revd. Paulie in advance. They would be grateful for donations of toiletries, tinned foods, nappies etc. Our school harvest festival will take place on Wednesday 4th October for the children in school.
Have a lovely weekend,
Karen Williams

Message from Head Pupils
Hello, we would like to introduce ourselves as the new head pupils of Kirk Fenton, Freddie and Ella. We are happy and proud to have been chosen for this important role and we promise to be good role models and let our light shine for the school.
The receptions are settling in well and are getting the hang of school and we enjoyed seeing them learning and socialising with other children from different year groups. Last week two brilliant people came in and did a singing workshop with KS2. Everyone really enjoyed it and it was loads of fun.
We can’t wait to see what this year brings, with so many exciting activities already to look forward to. We hope everyone has a lovely weekend, and we look forward to seeing back in school on Monday for the start of week three.
Head Pupil Awards went to Zara and Theo M

Please do not send in any more uniform. Thank you.
School Lunch Ordering
Thank you to everyone who is regularly using our pre order system for school meals. As school dinners must be pre-ordered by you, please ensure you select your child's meal in good time and before 8am for that day. You can order weeks at a time, or even months and (if applicable) the amount is deducted after the child has had a meal.
If your child is not in, or has changed their mind, please ensure you cancel the meal otherwise you will still be charged.
Also, if you are sending in a packed lunch please would you select that option on the meal ordering system.
Please contact the office if you have any problems or need help getting on the meal ordering system on ParentPay.
