Values Activity

Our district mission is, "To promote self-worth, social responsibility, and lifelong learning in partnership with its community." We as a special education department value family, respect, communication, perseverance, personal growth, and health to help us accomplish this mission with all of our students each day.


Below is a word cloud of each teacher's personal values. One thing that became overwhelmingly obvious about this talented group is the desire to be a large family on behalf of the students. I am excited to stand alongside of this amazing group of leaders!

Sketchnote


I saw this on Twitter and instantly thought of our students who struggle with vocabulary. The sketchnote process offers a visual representation of words. It can be used to take notes on a topic or to simply define a word. Watch the video below for more information.
