Note from the Principal

Good morning!


I cannot express in words how grateful I am for this community. Thanks to your flexibility last week, all teachers that wished to receive the COVID-19 vaccine have now been provided with the opportunity to receive at least the first dose. I am also grateful to the Catholic Schools Office in the Archdiocese of Washington for advocating for our staff members so tirelessly over the past few weeks. I do want to caution our parents and students, however, that asking if a specific teacher has received his/her vaccine is a very personal question and could make the teacher uncomfortable. While this is very exciting topic, please rest assured that each teacher has made the right decision for them in consultation with their doctor and this well-meaning question can feel quite invasive. We appreciate your understanding.


The School Advisory Board is currently working very hard on a campus reopening plan to begin after Easter Break on April 12th. At this time, there is nothing definitive that I can share with you, as I do not like making statements and having to rescind them, however, you can be assured that returning to campus will be optional for all students and there will be a virtual learning option throughout the rest of the school year. A formal plan will be shared in three weeks and a town hall will be held to answer any questions that you have.

Book Pick-Up/Drop-Off

Our next Book and Supply Pick-Up/Drop-Off will be this week on March 4th (5-6 PM) and 5th (11AM-12 PM).

Scholastic Book Fair (March 16th-19th)

The Scholastic Book Fair has returned! Students and parents will have the opportunity to shop virtually from their homes. The book fair will also be available for socially-distant in-person shopping in the parking lot during book pick up (weather permitting). Stay tuned for more details!

Virtual Coffee Chats

Based on feedback from parents and recent attendance, Friday morning coffee chats will be reduced to once per month and will include all grades. Please join Mrs. Lewis on Friday March 12th at 8:30am to provide feedback, ask questions, and just say hello! A reminder email will be sent that morning.
