Our speaker Tom Roidl has given internet safety presentations at the Dover Union Free School District since 2016, at which time he served as Investigator in the New York State Police Computer Crime Unit. His law enforcement service included digital forensic analysis, undercover operations, and appointment as a U.S. Deputy Marshall with the ICAC (Internet Crimes against Children) Task Force. Since his retirement in 2021, he continues speaking to audiences throughout the Hudson Valley and the Capital District region.

Tom is a father of two, one of whom is a 2023 Dover High School graduate, and the other is a junior in Dover High School. In addition to his school presentations, he has provided in-service education at the New York State Police Academy, the New York State Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs, and Dutchess Child Advocacy Center. Tom believes that the mission to educate and protect children is the priority in service to the public.
