Important Notice -- The in town bus will now depart school at 2:55 pm effective Monday, September 25th.
We have reached "Yippee" on our owls nest! All classes will be receiving a free recess coupon this week. The weather should cooperate so that everyone can get out and enjoy some sunshine! Students are being kind to each other, listening to adults, and being helpful around our building. It is wonderful to see them helping each other! I'm sharing a picture of students dumping their classroom container into the owls nest by the office.
With the after school program in session, I'd like to remind everyone that the school grounds can not be used until 5:00 pm. (With the exception of the soccer team for practices and games.) Please help our students remember this.
I'd also like to send a special thank you to our PTCA. At their September meeting, they voted to use $1000.00 for portable air conditioners for our 3rd floor. These funds (and some additional funds) were used to purchase 5 units. I'm hopeful that we can continue adding on additional units over the next few years.
Students are not allowed to "hang out" after school waiting to attend a 4:00 soccer game. They should have a plan in place to leave school at 3:00 and return to watch the game accompanied by an adult.
Student-led Conferences are just around the corner. Your student(s) should have given you information regarding the time for your scheduled conference. Please return these as soon as possible.

Please read the letter below regarding ALICE training and safety evacuation drill information. We will be practicing this week.
