STAFF SPOTLIGHT: TAMMY SERUM - our new paraprofessional!
A little bit about myself and my background: I have three kids. I attended Winona State University and have a degree in Sociology. I coached high school girl's lacrosse for the past 12 years. I have worked as a paraprofessional for 5 years, and this is my first year at Lester Prairie.
A favorite thing I like to do is anything with my family.
Something you might not know about me is I love a good cup of coffee.
My favorite T.V. show is The Office because it always makes me laugh.
My favorite book is The Great Gatsby because I really enjoyed it the first time I read it.
My favorite sport is lacrosse because I have loved the game since I first started playing in high school. I also played at college, and after college I started coaching. I love the game and introducing new athletes to the sport.
BULLDOG CLASS FEATURE: Mr. Scheevel's Current Events Class
The Lester Prairie Current Events class has been working on creating a news broadcast.
Check out their first broadcast by clicking on the Ruff Ruff Reports (clipchamp) link below!
DENTAL DAY
Lester Prairie School District will be hosting the Minnesota School Sealant Program, where your child has the opportunity to receive FREE or reduced cost preventive dental services at school. A licensed dental professional will be offering sealants, cleanings, and fluoride varnishes to students.
The School Sealant Day will be on: Wednesday, November 16th for grades K-12.
In order to be eligible to receive these services, parents need to fill out a consent form with their child's information and return it to school. Consent forms were sent home earlier this week. The consent form is also available online at www.schoolsealants.com/consentform.
The consent form is due by: Wednesday, November 2nd.
Dental sealants, fluoride varnishes, and teeth cleanings are often provided in a public health setting due to the amazing benefits they provide at a low cost. Your child will be kept comfortable throughout these easy preventive dental services. The entire process takes less than 15 minutes. They even get to see the tooth fairy that travels with our program!
Please visit www.schoolsealants.com for more information.
