A Message from the Principal
I can't believe we are in the last nine weeks of the school year! The year is flying by and will be over before we know it. As we move into April and May, things will get very busy! We have field trips, state testing, and other activities all on the schedule! We will do our best to keep you updated on everything we have going on at Parkway.
It has been wonderful seeing so many of you back in the building joining us for lunch! We have missed having you here as much as you have missed being here! If you have not had the opportunity to join your child for lunch, we hope you can visit soon!
We are having a literacy family night on Thursday, April 14th. We will enjoy "A Night with the Stars" here at PES from 5:30 - 7:30 pm. During the event, you will be traveling with your child/children through a series of interactive sessions. If you are planning to attend, please return the RSVP that was sent home in student folders by April 7th. We need a count of who plans to attend so we can plan appropriately for the refreshments and sessions.
Here's a look at other upcoming events:
April 8: PTO Mom/Son Night (Salty Harbor Mini Golf 6 - 8 pm)
April 8: Last day to purchase Aquabots from our PES robotics team. Proceeds will benefit our team!
April 14: PES Family Night (Please RSVP by April 7)
April 18: Kindergarten and 5th Grade Graduation Pictures (Info will be sent home later in the week)
April 19: K-2nd Grade begins NWEA State Testing (more info will be sent home soon)
April is Autism Awareness Month. We are excited to celebrate and honor this month with a few different activities focusing on inclusion! The week of April 7 - 11, students are encouraged to participate in Inclusion Awareness Dress Days. See below for a copy of the schedule for the week.
Have a wonderful week and thank you for allowing us to be a part of your child's life!
