The Class of 26 Update

A new House Principal has not yet been hired to replace Dr. Walloff. We are hoping to have someone in place real soon. The Portal will open on Friday, August 18th. You can access PowerSchool and see your schedule on Friday, August 18th at 4:00 pm. Please see the section below on the Parent Portal with important details for the start of the school year.

The PowerSchool Parent Portal will open the morning of 8/14/23 for Student Data Verification ONLY. Schedule information is not available in the Parent Portal until after Friday 8/18.

The PowerSchool Parent Portal is your resource to:

• Review/update student information, and electronically sign required forms
• Pay for Accidental Damage Protection Insurance for laptops
• MIDDLE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS -- Accidental Damage Protection Insurance (ADP) payment or opt-out must be made prior to laptop distribution.
• There is no ADP for elementary students.

You must go through Student Data Verification and submit information for EACH of your students. There may be different forms required for different grade levels.

The Student Data Verification link is on the left-hand menu of the main Parent Portal Screen.

Student Data Verification is:

• ONLY available through the Parent account, NOT the student account
• ONLY accessible via a web browser (Google Chrome preferred)
• NOT accessible via the mobile app
• NOT available nor required for new students registered after August 10, 2023

If you don’t have a Parent Portal account, contact your student’s school building for unique access information and instructions to create an account.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

• Go to www.pennridge.org and click the PowerSchool icon at the top of the page. The direct url is https://powerschool.pennridge.org/public/
• Existing Parent Portal sign-on information remains the same. If you forgot your credentials, click the Forgot Username or Password link at the bottom of the Sign In page. You can retrieve your username and password from this screen if you know the email address associated with your Parent Portal account. Check your junk/spam folder if the reset email does not arrive in your inbox.
• Check out the FAQ link for answers to the most common questions regarding the Portal. There is a link to this document on the Sign In page or click here.

Laptops will be available for pickup in the library (room 302) at the High School during the dates/times below - Grades 10-12 ONLY

• August 16-18 (Wednesday to Friday) and August 22-23 (Tuesday and Wednesday).
• 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM & 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
• The 23-24 Data Verification process must be completed to pick up a laptop. Information regarding this process was sent Sunday 8/13.
• The student will be required to log onto the computer during the pickup process. Expect the process to take about 15 minutes depending on the line.
• 9th graders will receive their laptops during the first two weeks of school during school hours.
