There is no school TOMORROW, March 12. Teachers have half a day to complete conferences which will not allow to schedule conferences for a whole class. Teacher will be reach out as necessary to schedule a conference.

March 17 will be the last Library curbside pick up. Library will continued to be offered at school. Please use the website to put books on hold and Mr. Mariman will deliver them to students in their classrooms beginning the week of April 5th.

Students continuing with CDL can contact Mr. Mariman to continue to get Library Books.

There will be no school for 2nd-5th Grades on March 18th & March 19th in order for teachers to prepare the classrooms for students to be back in the building, there are two transition days where students will not have class.

Do we bring Chromebooks to school? | KG, 1st, and 2nd grades will not bring their Chromebooks to school. Grades 3, 4, and 5 will have more direction coming.

Attendance: Please have your students to school on time. We will open doors at 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. to allow transition to classrooms. If your student will be absent for any reason, please notify the office and your students teacher.

Sickness/Health Screening:

If your child has any of the following symptoms please keep your child home from school and notify the school office at 503-554-4750 or langk@newberg.k12.or.us.

• Fever or chills

• Cough

• Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

• Fatigue

• Muscle or body aches

• Loss of taste or smell

We will be visually screening all students and adults as they enter the building. Students must wear a mask while on school grounds.

Students continuing with CDL will receive communications from their new teacher regarding their schedules. CDL students will continue to meet for SEL on Fridays.

Specials

CDL students will continue to have their current PE, Music and Library teachers at EY. Students continuing with CDL can contact Mr. Mariman to continue to get Library Books and schedule pick up times.

• 1st Grade - March 15th
• 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grades return March 29th

A.M. Schedule | P.M. Schedule

8:30 a.m. | 12:30 p.m. Doors Open | Students can exit cars and begin entering the school. Busses arrive to school.

8:45 a.m. | 12:45 p.m. Instruction Begins | Students need to be in their classrooms ready to learn; instruction begins promptly.

10:45 a.m. | 2:45 p.m. Dismissal Begins | Parents have lined up and stay in cars. Please give student grade and name to staff at your car and students will be released from their classrooms. Students are released for busses as they arrive.

Friday

There will be no school for Hybrid learning on Friday's neither in person nor meetings.

This week in Mr. Taylor’s class, we have been measuring in math. It was fun having our students go outside, get some leaves, and bring them back in and measure them. Also, we looked around our house for different items and measured them as well. In reading, we have been learning about different games around the world. It has been a blast talking about these games and some of the students even wanted to play them with their families. Have a great week everybody!
