Lemoore Elementary Families,

As we welcome in February, we are looking forward to the last half of the school year. It's amazing that the year is more than half over. The month of February also brings Valentine's Day, Presidents Day, and the end of trimester 2 as well as celebrating Black History Month.

Basketball for 5th & 6th graders will start on February 1st with try-outs. Games start on February 10th. Trimester 2 will end on February 25th and there will be no school on February 21st for Presidents Day.

Our staff is continuing to focused on academic achievement and student growth. Reading and math scores on the Benchmarks have shown steady growth in grades 3 - 6. We also continue to focus on creating a positive environment that embodies our ROAR expectations of behavior. This month will focus on Caring.

This is a reminder that students can not bring flowers or balloons to school to give to others as gifts. Also, the office will not accept any deliveries for Valentine's day. This includes items dropped off by parents or family members. Please check with your child's teacher to see if they will be having a Valentine's party.

• March 3rd - no game: bye week
• March 10th - Cinnamon vs. Lemoore @ LE

This month will focus on Caring.

February 7th - 8th: GATE testing for 4th - 6th grade

February 8th - 11th: TK/K, 2nd, 3rd & 5th grade hearing/vision testing

February 8th - Board Meeting

February 10th - ELAC Meeting

February 21st - No School Presidents Day

February 24th - School Site Council Meeting

February 21st - 25th - STAR reading Test

February 25th - End of Trimester 2
