Middleton 23-24 Class Placement Parent Input
As the end of the year approaches, we are starting to look ahead to next school year. The Middleton staff realizes that parents provide valuable information regarding their child’s placement. While we do not take requests for specific teachers, parent input will be carefully considered in the formation of classes for the 2023-2024 school year. Our class placement process is a collaborative one and our Placement Team takes into account a number of factors when forming classes: personalities, academic levels, learning styles, learning needs, and student compatibility. We look at each student as an individual and as a member of a diverse class. This information will be given careful consideration. Every effort will be made to provide the most appropriate educational setting for your child and to establish well-balanced classrooms. Please keep in mind that parent placement input is not a teacher request form. Any form turned in with a specific teacher’s name request will not be considered.
Please complete this survey no later than 5 pm on Sunday, May 21st, 2023.
Middleton Carnival
PAC is putting raffle baskets together for one of the events. Donations will be collected and PAC will distribute the money to purchase items for each of the baskets. A basket will be put together for each grade level and contributions will go directly toward your student's grade level basket. Each raffle basket will have a unique theme.
If you are able we would love any donation to go towards this. In the past $20 per family was often used but any amount is greatly appreciated! As an incentive, we are offering 5 raffle tickets to the families/kids that donate towards the baskets. The kids have so much fun with this raffle and are able to put tickets in the boxes the week of the carnival. Some baskets in the past have been Nerf, Nintendo, and baking just to name a few! Please send money via Venmo, PayPal, or checks/cash can be dropped off at the office with Michelle if you are able. Any questions can be emailed to middletonpacboard@gmail.com
- Middleton Elementary PAC Venmo: @middletonpac
- PayPal.me/middletonpac
Please be sure to include your child's grade, the child's first and last name, and that it is for carnival raffle baskets. We will distribute 5 raffle tickets to the families who donate to the classroom. Donations will be accepted through May 10th. We appreciate your support!

The Sherwood School District is seeking parent/guardian feedback on our Local Wellness Program policy, which can be found on our website here (Board Policy EFA-AR). All feedback collected will be shared with our Wellness Committee this spring, who will assess the implementation and progress of the Local Wellness Program and provide a progress report at a future Board of Directors meeting, as well on our District website for public review.
If you would like to provide feedback on the policy, please complete the form using the link below. All feedback is anonymous.

Students are given the optional opportunity to participate by running or walking laps and are able to win fun toe tokens based on how many laps they run.
WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!!! Volunteering for Mileage Club is fun and easy. Volunteers will either be hole punching student's run cards when they finish each lap or standing along the course to ensure student's safety. You are welcome to bring younger siblings with you for this as well. Sign up here for as many or few dates as you are available!

Character Trait of the Month: Generosity
The Character Trait of April is Generosity! Generosity is the quality of being kind and generous. “Generosity is what keeps the things we own from owning us.” ~Anonymous. Generosity isn’t about what you have to give, it’s what have left, your availability to serve others. Let’s teach our kids to be generous, kids often think they have nothing to give, we can show them otherwise! If you need ideas for your child let PAC Volunteer coordinator Melissa Horton know @ middletonpacboard@gmail.com
