Celebrating Our Staff
Dena Summer - Special Education Teacher
Dena truly cares about her students and wants the best for each and every one of them. No matter the issue she is dealing with, she works so hard to truly find the root of the problem so she can attempt to help the student with the deeper issue--not just the surface behavior being shown.
Dena advocates for her students no matter the situation--the students may not always see the positive impact that has right away but it is definitely a lasting impact she has on them.
She has high expectations of her kids and they rise to the challenge.
She gives each one a new start every day, greets all her kids with smile, and patience; she is very patient and understanding with her kids.
Dena is always willing to help out anyone who needs it anywhere in the building. She is a fantastic teacher to all, often sharing resources about students with unique needs to other staff so everyone can learn to best support special education students. She is always brainstorming ways to support students in all different environments to make it a positive place to work and learn.
Team player, strong leader, continuous growth
Dena puts kids first, she is a kind and considerate coworker, she is amazing with students needing behavior support.
Sara Ihrke - Reading Intervention Teacher
She has a positive attitude, genuine cares about each students, and makes connections with families.
Sara always work hard for "what is best for students", chooses a positive attitude, and pushes students to be the very best they can be.
Her willingness to help anyone at anytime, wealth of knowledge about primary teaching, and positive, cheerful and welcoming personality help make our school great!
Sara’s work ethic is second to none, she is always learning and growing while at the same time helping students and staff succeed.
Sara is always there to help a coworker with whatever they may need. She is a team player who wears many hats to keep the school running smoothly. She works hard to do what is best for students and our school, all with a smile on her face :)
Wendy Schultz - PE Teacher
Wendy is excited each day to see her students. She goes above and beyond to get kids active in a fun way. Wendy values all students and works hard to meet the needs of each individual.
She is great at pointing out the leaders in our class who show Panther Pride qualities.
She does a wonderful job explaining expectations and sportsmanship.
She is a positive and caring adult for students to look up to in our building.
Wendy is always happy and doesn't get caught up in the negative. She chips in where needed, even when it isn't part of her job description...like clearing the sidewalks outside. When Wendy decides to retire, we will lose an amazing individual and teacher!
She goes above and beyond her job responsibilities.
She is an active member of our community beyond school.
She is a coach and is invested in our students beyond the classroom.
