Recognition

The Board accepted with great appreciation an anonymous donation of $1,431.82 for the Lincoln Music Performance at American Family Field.

Special Reports and/or Action: The Science of Reading Elementary Adoption

On June 12th, WUSD Administration and Staff gave an initial informational presentation to the School Board regarding the new elementary reading adoption: The Science of Reading.

Last night, the Board approved The Science of Reading adoption and funding for the WUSD elementary schools. Below are more resources regarding The Science of Reading. More information will be sent to Elementary families in the fall regarding Parent Connection Nights.

Certified Staff: Resignations, Transfers, Employments

Superintendent Reports

Dr. Caroline Pate-Hefty presented her monthly report, and recognized donations under $1,000. She also noted the Class of 2024 Whitewater High School Graduation will be held on the evening of Friday, May 24, 2024.

Business Office Reports

Director of Business Services, Ben Prather presented his monthly report, a resolution designating public depositories as well as the review of the preliminary, High-Level 2023-24 budget.

2023-2024 Employee Handbook

The 2023-24 Employee Handbook was approved by the School Board. The link is also available on the District Website main page under Business Services.
