Message from Head of School, Matt McCrea
Dear Parents and Families,
I'm excited to see outstanding things continue to happen each day at both of our campuses, and it's been so wonderful seeing so many of you around the school. I want to spend most of my message today to everyone to invite you all to our Fall Festival next week. We'll have events at each campus. At the elementary school, we invite families and our elementary students to have fun with many different activities and a trunk or treat. At the middle school, we've planned events more targeted to our middle school-aged students, including some fun activities in the building and a dance.
We hope that everyone is able to make it and I hope to see you all there!
Mr. McCrea

Get Involved at Meridian
Join Kindred Conversations
This year, Kindred will be partnering with Meridian PCS to build the capacity of staff, caregivers, and leaders to collaborate to advance equity in the school community. They will be conducting interviews with staff and caregivers to learn more about your community and facilitating a dialogue group with staff and caregivers. In the 10-session, 90-minute dialogue group, individuals will have the opportunity to discuss the following topics:
- Getting to Kindred, Dialogue, and Each Other
- Exploring Our Identities
- White Supremacy Culture and Oppression
- History of Schooling (in the US)
- Inequity in Our School Community
- ...and more!
Please call, email or scan the QR on the flyer below to participate! We hope you will join us in these important conversations and share your valuable insights. Click to access Spanish or Amharic versions of the below graphic

Out of School Time Updates
Join After School Clubs!
Join our after school clubs run by Meridian teachers and staff! The following clubs are still accepting students: the dance and garden clubs, chess team, “Stitch Squad'' where students can learn to sew by hand and with machine, and “Mindful Owls” where students will learn yoga and mindfulness techniques to relieve stress. Our elementary school math tutoring group also has a few spaces left!
Our Middle School teachers also have lots in store for our older students. Still accepting students are our computer coding club and fitness academy, and Chess Team. For our leadership-oriented students, student government elections are coming up soon!
Chess is available at both campuses, on Mondays at the elementary school, and on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Middle School.
