Theme: Safe School
Word of the Month: Respect
Respect means a feeling or understanding that someone or something is important or serious and should be treated in an appropriate way. The challenge for students this month is to show respect to others and make school a place where people feel comfortable being themselves.
November
Theme: Building Magical Futures
Word of the Month: Determination
Determination means a quality that makes you continue trying to do or achieve something that is difficult. The challenge for November is to identify a goal you can accomplish by the end of the month and take daily steps toward your goal. Make sure to share your goal with a friend, classmate or school staff member to help keep you on track.

Upcoming Workshops
The Guidance Department will be offering optional Workshops to students during the school year before school or during lunch. Workshops will seek to meet the needs identified by students and teachers through our needs assessment survey conducted at the beginning of the school year and/or centered around the current Theme of the Month. Planned workshops over the next couple months are as follows:
October 14th 8:30-9:30 - Cyber Safety
October 15th and October 22nd Lunch (both) - Exploring Careers Workshop
November 5th Lunch (both) - College A-G Requirements and Four Year Planning
November 18th Lunchtime College Fair (Covered Basketball Courts)
Workshops will be held in the Counseling Center - J208.
