Volunteer Central
Here are our volunteer opportunities for the week of September 17th.
We have many volunteer jobs this week, so if you need to plan ahead, please click on the “Click Here to Volunteer” button to go to our volunteer website and view upcoming volunteer opportunities. And don’t forget to check back during the week for new opportunities that may be added!
- This week’s middle school game (Killian vs Arbor Creek) is on Tuesday at Hebron’s stadium, and we need help with band concessions that night. By helping with concessions for the middle school games you will receive one $20 credit per game toward your student’s fundraising goal of $450.
- This Friday we have an away game at Marcus HS. We need chaperones and water crew help.
- Speaking of Water Crew, we need water crew help Thursday night, Friday before the game AND Friday after the game. We will need help at ALL of those times for the next SEVEN weeks, so please look ahead and see where you can help!
- Pit Crew needs a few more volunteers for Friday night’s away game, but they need a lot more volunteers on Saturday for their drumline contest!
- Saturday morning is Parent Preview and we really need volunteers for Concessions and the Spirit Wear Table. You will NOT miss the performance if you volunteer for these spots as they will both shut down to watch the show and then re-open after the show.
- Memory Books is looking for a volunteer from each of the following sections: Clarinets, Flutes, Props, Trombones, Trumpets and Tubas. Please go to the signup for more information.
- If you have any questions reach out to Nikki Wilson at volunteers@hebronband.org
Grand National Championships Information UPDATE!
We know you are getting excited as we get closer to our planned trip to Indianapolis, so we wanted to pass along the latest updates and information.
The final, and official, “Travelers List” is due this week to Music Travel. This list is used by MT to determine room count and types, meal planning, as well as the exact final trip costs - so we must get these in on time. We have to deliver rooming lists, bus lists, seating charts, chaperone lists, etc. Music Travel must have all of this information ahead of time to be able to finalize the plans for our trip. Students were given instructions on how to sign up for a room with their roommates last week and that should be completed. If you have questions about that process, please contact Jessica Gonzalez at chaperones@hebronband.org.
Currently, per the Music Travel payment schedule, you should have paid $975.00 into your account (remember these payments are made directly to Music Travel). Make sure to log into your Music Travel Account to verify you are on track. Keep in mind that payments to Music Travel apply ONLY to the trip in November and are separate from the band fees that HBBC collects through Presto.
All of the Scholarship offers were emailed earlier this weekend from scholarships@hebronband.org. If you applied for assistance, please look for that email in your inbox or spam folder and reply to confirm acceptance.
Also per the established schedule, your trip must be paid in full by Oct 18th. Double-check your account balance today and make sure you are on track with your payments. Your account with Music Travel must be settled before we depart, or they will not allow your student to board the bus.
We hope you all are looking forward to this trip as much as we are. We know that everyone has been working hard on the show and we look forward to the competition.
Drumline and Colorguard
GREAT JOB Percussion at the Dripping Springs Comp!! We placed 4th!!!
Message from Mr. Koch:
"Congratulations to all of the students on both a great performance and a long day of work! The whole experience was an excellent learning opportunity program wide, and we received a ton of recognition for the great things happening in Hebron percussion. To say Dr. Davis and I are proud of the work the students have done to this point is an understatement. Thank you as well to everyone who attended and showed support both at the parent preview send off and in Dripping Springs".
Battery students need to bring their summer uniform Wednesday morning for a district admin gig at the arena.
Next weekend we've got the Plano Competition. The Itinerary is attached below.
Similar to the Dripping Springs contest, your student will bring a sack lunch, and have the option of being served a warm dinner at the competition.
Dinner: Chick-Fila sandwich, bag of chips, piece of fruit, rice crispy treat, and a bottle of water =$8
*If your student cannot eat this meal, you also have the option of bringing dinner for your own kid.
If your student will be having this dinner, please pay by Friday the 22nd. via square https://square.link/u/FtBjZBO1 or send a check to the lockbox clearly labeled 'Plano DL Comp Meal + students name.'
We also are in need of ONE MALE Chaperone for this competition. If you can help out, please email chaperones@hebronband.com and let them know!

Parent Preview is coming this Saturday, 9/23!
Join us Saturday, 9/23, for our Annual Parent Preview performance at Hebron High School Stadium at 11 am!
We are asking that, just like band fair, our parents bring a 40 pack of water to donate. With as hot as it has been this year, we need all the water we can get.
We will be joined by the Hebron Guard and will enjoy a special performance with the cluster middle school bands - Arbor Creek Middle School Band, Creek Valley Middle School Band and the Killian Band, as well as a performance from the The Hebron Drumline.
Tikis will be selling snow cones and ice cream outside the stadium from 10 am to 1 pm. Cash and Credit Card are accepted. The HBBC will also be selling limited drinks and concessions.
Invite your friends and we will see you there!!
Squad Funds is EXTENDED until TONIGHT at Midnight!
We've hit our FINAL goal and are still going! Squadfunds closes at midnight!
SquadFunds Fundraiser- If EVERY band student got 5 people to donate $10 towards Squadfunds, we would meet our FINAL goal!
Thank you to all of those who have contributed and shared campaigns with friends and family! We have one last chance to support Hebron Band 23-24. As a reminder, this is the largest fundraiser of the year.
We need your help for one final push! The last email is scheduled for Thursday. Please share your student’s campaign one last time via social media and encourage students to do the same!
It’s all hands-on-deck time! If you have not donated or shared now is the time!
Please reach out to squadfunds@hebronband.org with any questions.
Raise Days Thursday and Friday ONLY!
One easy way to raise money for the Hebron Band is by purchasing GIFT CARDS through the Raise Right App and Website and the companies give a percentage of each purchase back to the band!
Gift Cards can be used as gifts for other people
OR you can use them at the stores you shop at regularly.
You can get gift cards for Amazon, Target, Walmart, and Tom Thumb
to name just a few of the hundreds!!
Percentages donated back to the band varies by vendor.
On Sept. 21 and 22, there will be 135+ stores that will be offering extra bonus donations back to our band!!!

LISD Bond & VATRE Information
The Hebron Band Booster Club would like to let our parents know that the LISD Board of Trustees has voted to call for a $1.23B bond election and a voter-approved tax rate ratification election (VATRE). Both proposals will be up for voter approval on November 7th.
Registered voters residing within Lewisville ISD boundaries will be asked to consider a total of seven propositions that would generate additional funding to support educational programs and conduct maintenance, repairs and renovations across the district. If voters approve all six bond propositions (totaling $1.23B) and the VATRE, the total tax rate will be 10.6 cents lower than last year’s tax rate, a double-digit decrease in the total rate.

Scholarship Assistance Fund
Hey Band,
In addition to our normal fundraising activities this year that cover the general operating costs of the band, we have additional funds needed for 54 students in our band family in order to help get these students to Grand Nats. We realize that many of you have given so much already, but if you are able, we ask that you donate to our directed Student Scholarship Assistance Fund. Any amount is greatly appreciated. You can scan the QR code above or go to https://paybee.io/@hebronband@80. We are ⅓ of the way there to meeting the financial need of these band students. Thank you for your generosity. #AIATT
Volunteer Lead Needs
Hey Band, We are looking for volunteers to help us with our Golf Tournament in May. This will be our 4th Annual Golf Tournament and one of the best community events of the year.
WE NEED YOU!!! We need someone who is willing to lead a committee and oversee the details of the event. We have a great template in place for how it has been run in the past so you will not be starting from scratch. If you have a heart for our band, please reach out to fundraising@hebronband.org for more information about being the Golf Tournament Chair or about being on the committee. Reaching out for more information does not commit you to anything!! #AIATTT
