Nature's Classroom

Nature's Classroom is next week! A group of 153 fifth graders will be attending the Nature's Classroom trip this year! We are resharing a checklist that will be super helpful in preparing your child for the trip.

Please review pages 1-4 in the family packet since it provides you and your child with details about what to bring and what not to bring. Also be sure to watch the weather since New England is an area where you never know what you are going to get.

Below are a few important things about drop-off and pick-up procedures -

All 5th graders attending must be dropped off no earlier than 8:10 AM and no later than 8:20 AM
We will depart from Miscoe Monday, October 23rd at 8:30 AM
We highly recommend carpooling to drop-off and/or pick-up your child
All luggage will be colored coded depending on the dorms that students will be staying in
Students will enter through the doors by the gym and meet in the gym
Families will say their good-byes outside and all luggage will be organized outside until buses are here and ready to be loaded
Families are welcome to stay to wave the buses off
Also we would greatly appreciate any help that families could provide with loading luggage
Students will return to Miscoe on Wednesday, October 25th at 12:30 PM
Students should be picked-up and brought home at this time
If your child is carpooling home, we ask that you write a note or email providing permission to whomever is picking on your child
Get ready to hear about all the awesome opportunities that your child participated in

Calling All Substitute Teachers!

Not all superheroes wear capes; some substitute teach!!

Miscoe Hill Middle School is seeking substitute teachers who are interested in being part of the educational process for our students. Substitute teachers play an important role in the continuity of educational instruction for our children.

Needed on an as-needed, on call basis.

STARTING DATE: As soon as possible.

SALARY: $110 per day

QUALIFICATIONS: You must submit your application, resume, completed CORI form, and fingerprint results to be considered a candidate.

Witching you a delightful Halloween season, MURSD families!

We are getting our ghostly running shoes ready for the 6th annual Spooky Run 5k! Register so you can run, walk, or roll your way through the 5K while our Junior Goblins race around the Nipmuc gym with fun activities.

We will be celebrating the season with a costume contest and dancing to the beats of MC Spins (Monster Mash and other favorites), while hanging out with the Worcester Railers and their buddy, Trax.

The Mendon-Upton Education Foundation is a volunteer organization committed to enhancing academic opportunities for the children of the Mendon-Upton Regional School District by providing grant funding, ideas, and other resources to educators.

Mendon-Upton Music Boosters Pie Fundraiser

It's that time of year again! The Mendon-Upton Music Boosters is running its fall pie fundraiser just in time for Thanksgiving!

If you know a student in the music program and want to support their work, reach out and ask them how to purchase a pie.

If you don't know anyone and want to support a great program and receive a fantastic pie, please visit the boosters fundraising page and order online.

Don't delay!! All orders need to be submitted by THIS FRIDAY, Oct. 20th and your pies can then be picked up on Tuesday, Nov. 22nd at Nipmuc Regional High School.
