Hello Eagle Families!
February is quickly coming to a close and assessment season is fast approaching. In the month of March you will begin to see many of our 3-5 classrooms begin to come up with creative ways to review material and prepare our students for their benchmarks, final unit assessment, TELPAS tests, and eventually the STAAR in April and May.
Like you, we believe that our students are much more than this test, but we also know there is strong correlation between post-secondary readiness and meeting grade level requirements each successive year. Our teachers do an amazing job of maintaining the balance of teaching engaging new curriculum while keeping a consistent watch on each students growth and mastery of the content.
This upcoming week we've had a number of classes earn their 60th eagle, which means they get to select a dress up day for the whole school. The themed dress up days are below. March 2nd is also Texas Independence day and students are invited to wear western wear on Thursday. See the flyer below for more information. Kinder will celebrate Dr. Suess' birthday this Thursday and Western Day on March 10.
