Principal's Message
I am looking forward to our annual Veterans' Day Ceremony which will take place at Holliman on Thursday, November 10th at 10am. Students will be gathered in the front of the school in the parking lot. Please send your child to school with a small blanket or towel to sit on during the ceremony. The younger students tend to get a bit tired standing.
We are also encouraging everyone to wear red, white, and blue!
As a reminder, there is no school on Tuesday, November 8th for election day and no school on Friday, November 11th in observance of Veterans' Day.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Cabana, Principal
A Message from our Librarian Ms. Lombardi
Thank you to all for making our book fair a great success! We have $1,224.52 in scholastic dollars to purchase books for our library.
We were able to get a set of the 2023 RI Children's Book Award Nominees for our library. This was made possible by the Office of Library and Information Services and the RI Center for the Book, with funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services. You can view the 2023 nominees and a summary about them here : https://olis-ri.libguides.com/ricba/2023.
A Message from the WPS Transportation Department
When students leave items on buses, we ask that the student or parent to contact First Student directly.
First Student has direct contact with the buses through the radio,
and the student/parent will need to make arrangements to retrieve their forgotten item from First Student.
Please direct all calls regarding forgotten/lost items on buses to:

Message from Ms. Greene Math Intervention Specialist
One of my favorite math authors is Christopher Danielson who has written Which One Doesn't Belong?, Common Core Math for Parents for Dummies, and How Many? I really enjoy his Blog, Talking Math With Your Kids, the most because he shares so many creative ideas and joy all centered around, you guessed it...MATH!!! Recently he was asked to give a talk to Reach out and Read Minnesota and he had three messages for them. The first was, Children know and can do more math than their parents and teachers think they can. The second message was, young children learn math like they do language. The final message.... well, you will have to read the article to find that out.
