A special congratulations to the CLASS OF 2023!
We are extremely proud of the ways each Tuscarora Husky overcame challenges, persevered, and excelled through the different obstacles in your high school career.
As I reflect back on this school year, I am especially proud of the many accomplishments of our entire Tuscarora community.
- Students, you achieved so much this year. Academically, athletically, artistically, and in extra curricular clubs, you have accomplished tremendous things this year! Thank you for making your mark on Tuscarora's history!
- Staff, you demonstrated flexibility, grace, and teamwork as we continually work to connect with students and families, celebrate students' accomplishments, and motivate each other.
- And to the Tuscarora families and community. You never waivered in your steadfast support of the students and staff. Your consistent support fuels our day and keeps us going strong.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
During the month of June, we recognize and honor LGBTQIA Pride Month. During this month, we honor the contributions of those who identify as LGBTQIA and value them as important members of our diverse community.

Making Math Count!
Michaela Workman and Lukas Episcopo.
To our seniors graduating this year, there are so many wonderful memories that we have with you. You came to us as freshmen wondering about the long halls of THS. We made it through the pandemic together and you never quit. You have been fortified for whatever the future holds for you. When tough situations arise in your future you will be able to look them in the eyes and say I have made it through tougher situations than this. We have spent the last four years growing together. You have made us better by being authentically you. I hope we have done the same for you.
Please remember this quote, “You only fail when you quit trying.” Your futures are bright. Aim for the moon and we will see you in the stars.

Career Tech Education Updates🍉
FCCLA student leaders ran a children's book drive and created totebags for our Headstart students at THS. The totebags were created from materials donated by members of the community through the Adopt a Teacher page on Facebook. Each bag is embroidered with the child's name on the strap and a custom logo on the front. The children were given their bags and chose two books with the FCCLA leaders.
A truly positive experience for our Huskies big and small.
🌻IMPORTANT: Updates from School Counseling🌻

Information about SchooLinks:
Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) announces its partnership with SchooLinks, a college and career readiness platform to prepare students for what comes after graduation. SchooLinks is a modern platform that offers a complete set of tools to help your student at every stage of their academic journey.
SchooLinks will replace Naviance. We understand that Naviance has been a trusted platform for our students, however, we believe that SchooLinks will provide more comprehensive and innovative tools to help students reach their college and career goals.
LCPS will transfer Scattergram and Scholarship information from Naviance to SchooLinks. To ensure all information stored on Naviance is captured, students are encouraged to transfer resumes or portfolio information – saved on this platform to a personal device prior to June 30.
Please see this step-by-step guide to download information from Naviance. SchooLinks will help students discover their interests and strengths, explore colleges and careers and create an individualized academic and career plan that best reflects their post-secondary goals. As a parent/guardian, you will have the opportunity to join your student in their career and college exploration process and have conversations with them about their future.
Using SchooLinks, students can:
Access career interest, strength and mindset surveys
Explore 2-year and 4-year colleges
Take virtual-reality college campus tours
Request transcripts and letters of recommendation
Track college applications
Increase financial literacy by comparing college costs, exploring expected financial aid, family contribution, scholarships and out-of-pocket expenses in the “Game of Life,” a SchooLinks financial future planning feature
Find internship and volunteer opportunities
Explore traditional, emerging and career fields as well as military employment options
Learn more about military opportunities
Create digital portfolios / resumes
Communicate with counselors
Complete Academic and Career Plan
Middle and high school students will receive more information about SchooLinks and instructions on how to access the platform during Advisory. Elementary students will receive additional instructions about the platform next school year (2023/24).
Students log in to SchooLinks through LCPSGo. Middle and high school students have access to SchooLinks starting May 22, 2023. Parents/guardians will have access to SchooLinks for the start of the 2023/24 school year.
For more information about SchooLinks, check out this introductory video or see information on the LCPS website. Check out the Getting Started information for middle school students and high school students for suggested areas of exploration. LCPS School Counselors are currently undergoing training in SchooLinks, and while they learn more about the platform, we ask that questions about SchooLinks be directed to: SchooLinkshelp@LCPS.org
Have a great summer everyone. See you in August.
Read Worthy News from English
As a culminating project for their high school careers, AP Literature students created a video showcasing their graduating class's accomplishments. By using editing software, groups worked together to show the best parts of their last year here and what represents them as the class of 2023.
Originally created by Mr. Blair, this assignment gave students an opportunity to use their creative and analytical skills to create a product that will last forever. Here is one such example of a group's submission for this year's assignment: https://youtu.be/fVvsTyWqqqI
Lastly, congratulations to our graduating seniors! We wish you and all our students a safe and fun summer! Keep reading!
