Message from Dawn and Cam
Thank you to all our families and friends that attended our Remembrance Day Ceremony this morning. Our students and staff did a wonderful job of organizing a ceremony that honored all the people who have served our country and protected our freedoms. A very special thank you to Captain Matthew Viergutz, our special guest speaker today. Captain Viergutz is an Intelligence Officer by military occupation and the proud father of Katie in Grade 1!
As we head into the Remembrance Day long weekend, we hope that you all get some time to remember and commemorate the courage and selflessness of all those who have served, and continue to serve, to protect the values and freedoms that we hold dear. This is also an important time for us all to reflect on the many ways we all can contribute to a peaceful future. Sharing our stories, listening with open hearts, celebrating diversity, and fostering empathy are all small ways we each can make a difference in creating safe and peaceful communities.
Enjoy your long weekend together!

October SAM Spirit Award Winners
We are very excited that SAM School has returned to our tradition of recognizing and celebrating all the amazing contributions of our school community. Each month we will recognize the incredible contributions of our students, staff, and volunteers who help make SAM an amazing school to come to every day. The SAM SPIRIT Award is a monthly themed award where teachers choose two students from their class to recognize for demonstrating our SAM SPIRIT qualities. In October, we recognized students who have worked hard toward demonstrating qualities of friendship and kindness. Congratulations to our October SAM Spirit Award Winners!
