Featured Participating Organization: Defending the Cause Regional Alliance
All children deserve to grow up in a family who loves them yet, unfortunately, that is not a reality for so many. The rates of divorce and fatherlessness keep rising and kids are left without stable, loving adults to pour into their lives filling them with identity, purpose and hope. This is a wide-spread and complex issue that requires a collaborative response. Defending the Cause Regional Alliance exists to unite ministries, agencies, and non-profit organizations in the Greater Sacramento Region and mobilize the church to protect kids and strengthen families. Their goal is to utilize regional experts and best practices to empower people to engage through Prevention, Intervention, and Support.
Join the Defending the Cause Regional Alliance Launch on September 8th to hear more about the Alliance and ways to get involved in protecting kids and strengthening families. More info HERE!
Serve United Activation Meeting Report
Serve United's quarterly Activation Meeting on August 18th at Real Life Church Artisan Campus was a resourceful and impactful time for all! Church, school and organization representatives met to talk about raising the quality and quantity of church school partnerships in the region. A testimony from Fremont Presbyterian Church's long term engagement with Earl Warren was shared as well as resources from Kid's Club Consultants, Sacramento Chaplaincy, Art Docent Program, New Hope Community Development Corporation, City of Refuge Sacramento, and 3 Strands Global. The theme of the night was how to serve families and schools around the cause issues of Education and Sexual Integrity.
