The Fuller Family Weekly

Principal's Message
Fuller Families,
I hope this newsletter finds you well and ready for the exciting events we have coming up this week and beyond. As we delve into the heart of the fall season, there are some important updates and activities I'd like to share with you.
Mark your calendars for a ghoulishly good time at our annual Trunk or Treat event! It will take place this week on October 26th from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM in the school parking lot. We're also accepting candy donations in the front office. As a special incentive, each student who donates candy will receive a Principal's Acknowledgement and be entered into a drawing for some spooktacular prizes.
This week, October 23rd through 26th, we'll be celebrating Red Ribbon Week, a time to promote drug awareness and healthy life choices. Please see the attached flyer for specific dress-up days and activities to engage your child in the importance of leading a healthy, drug-free life.
This Friday, October 27th is a staff and student holiday! We have a short week ahead so it's important to make every moment count! Enjoy your long, 3-day weekend.
October 31st we will be holding our book character parade. Your child's teacher should have already reached out to you about their classroom's book and character plan. We cannot wait to see everyone's book character celebrated on this day. Many have asked, but they may NOT wear their halloween costumes on this day. This day is strictly reserved for our book characters only.
Thank you for your continued support and involvement in our school community. Fuller Elementary thrives because of the strong partnership between parents, teachers, and students. Together, we can make this a memorable and successful school year.
As always, remember, we are Fuller, we are Family!

Dismissal Issue
When the cars park in the red marked areas, vehicles exiting the car line cannot exit safely without coming out in the street. So to prevent any accidents, I will be placing 6 cones in the area. I have suggested to parents who parked there, to pull up to the school zone sign and park there.
I have included a map of the location with "NO PARKING IN RED AREAS" on the map.
Important Information
- Anyone entering the building MUST be prepared to show ID BEFORE entering
- IDs or car tags will be checked at dismissal for car and walk ups.
- Please label all jackets, lunch boxes, and water bottles.
- Transportation changes must be sent to FESTransportation@aubreyisd.net by 2PM daily.
- No visitors for lunch until after Labor Day.
- Instruction begins at 7:40 (students MUST be in seats by then)
- School day ends at 3:15

Attendance
Good attendance is important for many reasons. Your child receives the maximum benefit of education by being in school every day, and numerous studies show a strong link between academic performance and consistent attendance.
A compulsory attendance notification will be sent to the parent if a student has unexcused absences on 10 or more days or parts of days within a six-month period or three days or parts of days during a four-week period. Notice it says “parts of days.” This means that leaving school early, or arriving excessively late in the day, even if the child attended for some of the day, may count as an absence.
In the state of Texas, Pre-K is not required, however, once you enroll your student in school, all attendance laws apply.
