CVUSD Leadership & 50+ High School Students Attend the Latino College Expo
Our Student Services team provided the opportunity for 50+ CVUSD high school students to attend the Latino College Expo earlier this month in Pomona. Together, with school and district leaders, they discovered a wide range of colleges/universities, gained valuable insights into college admissions, connected with current Latin X college students, explored cultural exhibits and more.
Conejo Academy of Leadership and Language Immersion Receives $5,000 Grant
Last week, Assemblymember Jacqui Irwin presented our Conejo Academy of Leadership and Language Immersion with a check for $5,000.
Conejo Academy, with Jacqui Irwin's official endorsement, was awarded this special grant from the Barona Band of Mission Indians' Education Grant Program, the first of its kind in California created and administered by a Tribal Government. The goal of the program is to create strong educational opportunities for the children of California. Conejo Academy will use the grant money to upgrade their risers to a new outdoor stage where scholars will practice their public speaking and showcase their talents. Congratulations, Conejo!
Congratulations Jacqueline Luderer: CVUSD's September 2023 Teacher of the Month!

CVUSD Mobile App: Q Icon Glitch Update
The CVUSD is aware that a recent update to the CVUSD Mobile App is resulting in most users not being able to access the Mobile Q interface via the CVUSD Mobile App. The District is in communication with the App's development team who is working to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, at this time, they are unable to provide the District with an ETA for when the issue will be resolved. Current workaround options, include:
- For iPhone users: Open up the Q app icon and hold your finger on the “Parent Connection” button, the option to “Open link” should pop-up. If you click on this (“Open link”), it should bring you to the page that you are familiar with for logging in.
- For Android/iPhone users: Paste the following URL into your mobile web browser: https://conejo.vcoe.org/
- *Important Note: Q continues to load as expected via the direct URL on mobile and desktop web browsers: https://conejo.vcoe.org/ .
The District’s app is part of its mass communication consortium of services, and the company the District has used for many years for these services was recently purchased. This new company recently implemented new app elements, and the launch of these updates unintentionally resulted in the unexpected issue with the Q icon within the CVUSD Mobile app. The District was informed by the vendor that reverting back to the old version of the app is not an option.
The District apologizes sincerely for the inconvenience this issue is causing, and we hope to have a positive update to share soon.
