College Prep for Juniors and Seniors
Seniors, now is a great time to...
1. Start applying to your top college choices. Visit the college's website to begin the application process.
2. Start exploring and applying for scholarships. Check out the Wisner-Pilger Scholarship List (below) for more information on scholarship opportunities. Explore scholarship opportunities on college websites and make note of important scholarship due dates.
3. Attend College Planning Night on Wednesday, September 27th.
4. Prepare for college by reviewing EducationQuest's College Prep booklet, which breaks down the college-going process step by step. Click the booklet to the right to open and read online. Seniors will also be bringing home a physical copy of the booklet.
Juniors, now is a great time to...
1. Get involved in extracurricular activities to increase your chances for scholarships and college admissions.
2. Check out the EducationQuest's College Prep booklet (click the picture above) to learn more about the college-going process.
3. Learn more about careers that match your skills and interests.
4. Start researching colleges that offer programs in your areas of interest.
Education Quest Webinars
Throughout the year, EducationQuest will host webinars on several topics of related to college-readiness including financial aid, college planning, and the FAFSA, . Click the button below to view and/or sign up for upcoming events.
Scholarships
Scholarships for seniors are starting to open up! Students should be starting to search and apply for scholarships! Scholarship information for Wisner-Pilger students can be found here: Wisner-Pilger Scholarship List or click the button below. This list is updated frequently, so check back as more scholarships are added.
Please note that there are three tabs at the bottom:
- The first is for national, state and regional scholarships. Many of these are open and some have due dates starting in October!
- The second tab is for Wisner-Pilger local scholarships. The applications for these scholarships will be released in February.
- The last tab links to scholarship pages for specific colleges

Northeast Community College Drop Schedule
If for any reason a student needs to drop a dual credit or college credit class, they will need to complete and submit a drop form. Below is the drop schedule for both college credit and dual credit course for full year and fall semester classes.

This event is for seniors and senior parents. A representative from Northeast Community College will be presenting information on the Financial Aid Process. Other topics to be presented include exploring college options, scholarships, and the admissions process.
Sophomore Career Day

Sophomores will be traveling to WSC to attend Sophomore Career Day where they will attend break-out sessions related to careers of interest.
ASVAB Career Exploration Assessment for Juniors

The ASVAB Career Exploration Program includes a validated aptitude test and interest assessment. The results are used to guide career exploration using online career planning tools.
