Friday Family Update
October 28, 2022
Dear Families,
It is hard to believe that November is upon us! The fall is flying by for our students and staff, and everyone is having a wonderful time learning and having fun!
With November, our new theme of the month begins. We will be highlighting he character trait of THANKFULNESS in November; not only will be talking about thankfulness during announcements each morning, but we will also be completing several service projects that show our appreciation for our community. Stay tuned for more information coming soon...
As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact us anytime. We are happy to help.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Kristine Kefor, Principal

Meet Ms. Correia, Our New Speech Language Pathologist Assistant
My name is Rebecca Correia and I am the new Speech Language Pathologist Assistant at Palmer River Elementary School. I am looking forward to meeting your children. I have always loved teaching, and I have been doing so for the last 10 years, working with students of all ages and backgrounds.
I graduated from Bridgewater State University in 2010, where I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, with a concentration in communication disorders.
My goal as the Speech/Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) is to improve your child’s communication skills so they can be successful in the classroom. I am really excited to work with our students this year!
CORI Checks
Please make sure to stop by the PRES office and complete a CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) form if you plan to volunteer at the school at ANY point this year. Make sure to bring your government issued identification (License, ID, Passport, etc.). Processing times can vary at different times during the year, and it is better to have it done and on file. When CORIs are processed, they are good for 3 years.
Take a Peek at our Week...
This Month's Lunch Menu
Greetings Palmer River Families and Friends,
Cooler weather is coming our way! Make sure you prepare for the day. We try to go outside for recess every day, so students should wear appropriate outdoor attire when the weather is cold. Also, please make sure that your child has a spare pair of clothing in their backpack that is weather appropriate. Have a great weekend!
Sincerely,
Nurse Alyson Bellora BSN RN NCSN
