Digital Teaching and Learning Updates
Harford County Public Schools (HCPS) continually evaluates our digital ecosystem to maximize the impact of technology in enhancing student learning. As such, updates for the 2021-22 school year include:
- itslearning will continue to be the HCPS Curriculum Management System and Learning Management System, housing all curricular resources for teachers and students. Teachers will have access to the 2021-22 curriculum by August 16, 2021, if the course has been scheduled at the school level in eSchool.
- A district subscription of the web tool, ClassKick, as well as the free web tools, Quizizz, WeVideo, Smore and Canva have been reviewed and all tools will be available to teachers through Clever. Please continue to reference SharePoint for updates regarding digital tools and resources.

Teams Permissions
As a reminder to staff, Microsoft Teams has two distinct components:
- For staff: The full interface includes file sharing and channel spaces.
- For staff and students: A Teams meeting link for live video instruction or meetings.
HCPS does NOT endorse using the full interface of Teams with students.
Teachers who have created Teams for professional use should remember to set their Team to private, otherwise anyone in HCPS, including students can access and join the Team.
