Tuesday, November 8th is election day and therefore, no school. Since we are a polling site, no staff members are allowed in the building that day (only building services).

The next round of focus groups for grades 1-5 begins on Wednesday, November 9th. Team leaders, please be sure all teachers and paras working with your focus groups are aware of their students, locations, etc...

A reminder that performance matters data in grades 1-5 is due on November 9th.

We will be hosting an Assembly for our students the afternoon of Monday, November 14th to review the high-5 pledge and general expectations. Please bring your class to the APR at the designated time.

• K-3 at 2:00pm in APR

• 4-5 at 2:40pm in APR

Please see the link below for the Reconciliation and Remembrance lessons. Lessons may be taught during the months of November-December. Team leaders, please let Admin know when the 5 lessons will be taught.

The Career Pathways Program supports Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 500 unit members to identify career goals and obtain training and direction to attain those goals. This program offers opportunities for employees to improve their knowledge and skills in content areas that will enable employees to reach their career goals, with programs and processes in place to support those objectives. The Career Pathways Program newsletter highlights important and relevant initiatives and trainings available to support SEIU employees interested in growing their careers with MCPS.

A message from Rockville High School's PTSA:

We are so excited to be bringing back the Ram Race 5K and Kids’ Fun Run to the Rockville Cluster, after a Covid hiatus. On Saturday, November 19th at 8 AM, the Rockville HS PTSA will kick off their new race with an exciting, yet walkable, course leading into Rock Creek Regional Park.

The Kids’ Fun Run will be one lap around the RHS Track at 8:30 AM for ages 12 and under ($5

day-of-event registration only). There will be prizes for best costumes, as well as the top three runners in each age group. Staff may also want to join the 5K! All funds raised will go to support Student Scholarships and Honor Awards, School Mini-Grants and Staff Appreciation. Use the Link to register.

MHES SPIRIT NIGHT FUNDRAISER AT CHIPOTLE

Be sure to mark your calendar for our next Spirit Night Fundraiser on Tuesday, November 15 from 5-9pm at the Chipotle in Wintergreen Plaza! Chipotle will donate 33% of sales back to Meadow Hall. Order online for pickup using code HRVJKWC or show the attached flyer if you order in the restaurant.

Please make sure every parent/guardian has a conference time set up.
