I can't believe we are getting ready for our first parent teacher conferences of the 22-23 school year. Where did the first few months go?! This is a time for you to meet with your child's teacher and to learn about what they have been doing. It can be a little confusing because the first trimester does not actually end until November 10th. This means you will not be getting the official first report card during your conference, you will be getting information on your child's progress so far. It is a great way to find out how your child is doing and to get ideas for working with your child to support their learning. I am sure will be amazed by everything they have already accomplished!

Thank you all for signing up for conferences so we can share all the things your kids have been working on. If you have not signed up for a conference you can find the links in teacher newsletters or you can contact the office for assistance at 523-1850.

Mr. G has been hard at work setting up the Scholastic Book Fair in our library! Please take a moment to stop by and see all the amazing titles we have available for readers of all ages and abilities. Mr. G will be around and he is a great resource for age appropriate titles and what the cool new book is! The funds raised at our bookfair help us keep our library stocked with all the great new books kids are asking for!

Thank you to all the families that registered for the fall PTA fundraiser. The first numbers are in and you all raised $4,153.21 for our PTA to use to support our students and teachers. These funds help with buying equipment for our playground, Discover Southeast Naturalists, Artists in the Schools, Harvest Festival, 5th grade promotion, field trips, and so much more! Pictures retakes are now scheduled for Friday, October 28th. If your child did not have their picture taken in September now is your chance to have their photo taken and order school pictures.

If your child did have their picture taken but needs a retake they will need to return any picture packages purchased in order to have them exchanged for the new photo.
