Principal's Message
Dear Loma and CT Families-
My top 3 highlights:
1. watching our talented students performance of "Music Man".
2. leading the 5th grades on a tour CTE.
3. hearing and seeing the excitement among students as they visited with our Paws-To-Share dogs.
If your child is going to cross the bridge after school, you must submit a note to the school secretary. Lisa at Loma; Julie at CT
Please remind your child that they MUST cross using the bridge and not to run across Summit Road.
Important Dates:
5/1-5/18 CAASPP testing in grades 3-8
5/23: Incoming 6th grade parent orientation at 6pm
5/25: Open House for Loma at 6pm and CT 6:30pm
5/29: No School Memorial Day
6/8: Last day of School 12:30 dismissal
Thanks for your partnership

STAFF SPOTLIGHT-Casey Lelake
Meet Casey Lelake, our music and band teacher, who has been with us since 2014! As our Kindergarten through 8th grade music instructor, she inspires our students to explore the joy and beauty of music. Her passion for music is rooted in their upbringing, as her parents instilled a love of music in her from an early age.
Living in our mountain community, she truly embraces the beauty of our surroundings. Beyond teaching, she also enjoys playing drums for the Summit Sisters when they need backup. Her dedication to music is contagious and we are fortunate to have her as a part of our school community.

LPJUSD Kids & Company Summer Day Camp June 12-July 28
It’s time to start planning for summer enrichment activities, and Kids & Company is here to help with “Summer Stars” Day Camp. Each week of camp is based around a different theme, and all include a fun-filled field trip, swimming, games, crafts, an optional dress-up day, and science lessons.
The summer camp program incorporates National Best Program Standards for Extended Day School Programs by including scheduled time for the “3Rs”. Our camp will include science, history, nutrition, and activities to increase the self-esteem of our campers. Our child-to-staff ratio is 12:1 or better on days when the campers remain on campus, and 7:1 or better on field trip days.
The program is flexible by design so you can enroll for the full summer, or only choose to sign-up for certain weeks. Families can also choose which days during each camp to attend. So, whether you are looking for weekly enrichment or an occasional adventure right here on the mountain, Kids & Company has a camp for you. For more information, please call 408 353 – KIDS (5437)

Paws-to Share Visit to Loma and CTE
The organization Paws-to-Share will be visiting our campus Thursday, May 11 with an array of different therapy dogs. Their focus is on the mental health and wellbeing of students and staff. By visiting during state testing weeks, our goal is to help lower the stress levels of our students, and staff. Handlers will be available to talk with students, explaining the individual stories that led to each therapy dog being where they are today.
If you do not want your child to participate or if your child has allergies that we should be aware of, please reach out to Principal Amy Ramsay at a.ramsay@lpjusd.us
Loma and CTE Lost and Found
The lost and found pile is getting bigger by the day! As the season changes, it’s easy for jackets to be taken off during school but unfortunately many of them are being forgotten about here on campus.
Please be sure to check the Lost and Found collection (outside the Loma front office) as often as you can and retrieve your child’s clothing.
The CTE HSC will have their final pick up at the end of the school year for goodwill Donations.
Items left after Friday, May 19th will be donated to the Goodwill.
Thank you!
