Patriot Nation,

We are embarking on the last week of the school year. Thank you for your patience this past week as we completed our last round of STAAR testing. We are excited to have some great events next week to finalize the 2021-2022 year. It will be Celebrate Freedom Week all week here at Jack (please see details below). On Monday our 4th and 5th graders will be competing in the district track meet, and on Tuesday we will have our annual Patriot Games here at Jack. The rest of the week is filled with year end celebrations and awards (contact teachers for details), with our grand finale coming on Friday with our 5th graders final walk at 12:15. We hope you can make it out to celebrate the end of the year! Have a great weekend!

It's that time of year again! Every year, we survey our families to get feedback on our Leader in Me Program. We are proud to be a Leader in Me Lighthouse School, and want to make continuous improvements. Please use the link below to complete a survey for us. Thanks!

On the last day of school we will be having early release. Walkers and car riders will release at 12:30 and bus routes will run at 1:00. We will not be having BGC on these days so please make arrangements to have all students picked up on time.

Tyler ID will spend the week of May 23-27, exploring our founding documents, honoring our nation's ideals and beliefs of freedom, and celebrating patriotism. We will also spend time recognizing the historical leaders of the past and honoring the sacrifices of our armed forces, both past and present:

Monday, May 23- Liberty Day: Students wear red. Learn about the Declaration of Independence and/or Liberty Bell.

Tuesday, May 24- Patriot Day: Students wear blue. Learn about the Star Spangles Banner.

Wednesday, May 25- Preamble Day: Students dress their best or as a community helper/wear white. Learn about the Preamble to the Constitution.

Thursday, May 26- Military Hero Day: Students dress like a soldier. (camo, uniform, military branch t-shirts). Learn about our national symbol the Eagle.

Friday, May 27- Flag Day: Students wear red, white, and blue. Learn about the American Flag.

Our Jack PTA provides resources and opportunities for learning experiences, volunteering, and just plain fun! Please consider joining by going to http://www.jointpta.org. We love our amazing PTA and the support they provide for our Patriots!
