This past Monday, Mill Valley had the opportunity to host the school board meeting. We were proud to share the academic successes of our students, as well as the many activates we have put into place to ensure that students are feeling safe and enjoying being at school. We will have many Kings, Queens, Princes and Princesses around the school starting February 1st. In an effort to recognize individual student efforts towards being respectful at Mill Valley, we are asking classroom teachers to recognize one student from their class (twice a month) and tell us why! Students selected will be called down to the office on that Monday to get their picture taken! That picture will be posted on a bulletin board. Their locker will be decorated with a crown! And parents will be notified of their Respectful behavior.

Beginning February 1st, families will be provided the opportunity to complete a survey requesting to have their child's learning platform changed for the remainder of the school year. A separate communication, with a corresponding survey, will be sent to all families. Please note, the survey will remain open through Wednesday, February 10th, 11:59 p.m. Thank you in advance for your attention to this should your family have any interest in making a change at the end of trimester two.

The Parent Satisfaction Survey allows parents to provide feedback on their experience with their child’s school. This year’s survey window will be open from February 3 through February 17. Each school will be sharing a unique link to their respective parent population at some point during the week of February 3. If you do not receive a link, please contact the building administrator of the respective school your child(ren) attend. Thank you in advance for making time to complete the survey and provide feedback around your experiences with our schools, which should take no more than five (5) minutes. As a reminder, the window to provide feedback will remain open through February 17, 2021.

Beginning in February, every day, students will have 3 options to choose from for hot lunch.

Four-year-old kindergarten (4K) and five-year-old kindergarten (5K) online registration begins February 1st! Additional registration information can be found on the Muskego-Norway Schools website. Registration will remain open, however we ask that families register by the end of March to help with planning and student placement. Placement is not a first come first served system.

SAVE THE DATE: 4K Parent Virtual Information Night on March 11, 2021 from 5:30-6:30 pm.

5K Parents, watch for information regarding our Kindergarten Splash events to welcome incoming 5K students for the 2021-2022 school year.

Enjoy a lovely morning with your special student by driving up to Cupid’s Curbside Cafe at Mill Valley to pick up your FREE Valentine’s Day donut and conversation heart chatting topics! The event will be held on Friday, February 12th from 7:45-8:45am.

Details will be coming home next week.

Order the perfect addition to your Easter baskets with custom selections such as the “Bunny Blend” and “Muskego Mix.”

All proceeds will be donated to the Mill Valley Sensory Path Project to provide Mill Valley with another resource for all students.

We had a great first meeting on January 14th to discuss options for the graduation and celebration for our 4th graders leaving Mill Valley in June. We are exploring options with our school and district administration with the health and safety of our students and families at the forefront of the decision making process. We will send out updates and schedule a follow up meeting as soon as more information is available.
