Changes at Home Small Group Opportunity
Has your family experienced a relational change that has impacted your child? The Changes at Home small group is designed to teach students how to use healthy coping strategies when dealing with a family change at home, such as divorce or separation. This group may help your child connect with other kids who may share similar thoughts and feelings, reflect on their thoughts and feelings and gain tools to help them cope with their emotions in a healthy way.
If you are interested in your child participating in this small group please complete this Google Parent Permission Form or contact the BBE Counselor, Julie Wimberly at 281-641-1607.
Nurse Notes
"Mary Had a Little Lamb.
she also had the flu.
and when she left her
school that day,
the others had it too!
So anytime your child is sick,
please keep them home with you.
then all the childrens at our school,
will be happier and healthier too!"
Stay healthy this holiday season!
Nurse James
When your child is ill, please contact the school to let us know he or she won’t be attending that day. It is important to remember that schools are required to exclude students with certain illnesses from school for periods of time as identified in state rules. For example, if your child has a fever over 100 degrees, he or she must stay out of school until fever-free for 24 hours without fever-reducing medications. In addition, students with diarrheal illnesses must stay home until they are diarrhea free without diarrhea-suppressing medications for at least 24 hours. A full list of conditions for which the school must exclude children can be obtained from the school nurse.
Thank you,
Emily James, RN, BSN
