It is my pleasure to welcome students and families back to school for the 2023-2024 school year! It was a very busy summer filled with many projects and initiatives.

In addition to our building and grounds staff working on the physical structure of the school and classrooms, teachers were busy working on Science, Social Studies, Math and ELA curriculum and instruction. There was rarely a day when teachers were not preparing for this next school year!

As we begin a new school year, I wanted to extend how excited I am that your family is part of the Regan Intermediate School family. This school has such a wonderful and inspiring atmosphere, outstanding teachers and staff, and amazing students and families – we are truly blessed. We look forward to partnering with you this year in providing the best educational experience for your child(ren). Newsletters will be distributed monthly (sometimes bi-monthly) and can be found on our school website in the virtual backpack.

I would like to welcome the 3rd graders and new students and families to our Regan Intermediate School family. Additionally, I would like to welcome back the 4th and 5th grade students and their families. It is evident that what makes RIS a special place is the people -- the students, teachers, families and community. So welcome to our RIS family!

Placement letters were sent home the week of August 16th. All placements are final. There is significant analysis and balancing that goes on to ensure classes are diverse and inclusive and that student needs are met.

As part of our building PBIS program, our theme for this school year will be Kindness Rocks! We are asking all students to bring in one rock (about the size/circumference of a fist) on the first day of school. This will be used for an art project during the first two weeks.
