NSWCCC Triathlon
St Benedict’s Catholic College has made a great start to the CCC domain this year. On Wednesday 28 February, four students represented the College at the NSWCCC Individual Triathlon in Penrith. Congratulations to Jared Madsen, Madelyn Manny, Charlise McCarthy and Simon McCarthy for their efforts and achievements on the day. There were some great improvements made on last year's results, which demonstrates the triathletes’ true abilities to conquer in a sport that is both physically and mentally demanding. The results achieved on the day reflected the hard work that each of these students has committed to their sport.
Also on the triathlon field, Thursday 1 March saw seven teams entered into the CCC All Schools Team Triathlon in Penrith. The day saw the teams arriving from 7am in Penrith to register before the big event. Students were excited for the event ahead although some were slightly nervous as this was the first time they had entered into a CCC event. Our Senior Boys’ team, consisting of Max Surace, Jared Madsen and Joshua Irons, performed extremely well and were place 20/158 schools overall.
Congratulations to all seven of the St Benedict's teams who competed on the day and represented the College with pride.
Lastly a big thank you to Miss Chalmers who attended the day, along with parents, to cheer on our students. Your support and encouragement was truly appreciated.

Miss Liska
DIO Girls and Boys Touch Football
On Monday 5 March and Wednesday 7 March, students from the College made a trip to Fairy Meadow to compete in the Diocesan Girls and Boys Touch Football Competitions. Despite the rain, cloud and heat at the end of the day, both the girls and boys gave their very best in all nine rounds of Touch Football.
Although the students didn’t win the competition, they played every game with determination, persistence and great sportsmanship. It was wonderful to see our students praising each other and keeping their spirits up when times got tough.
A very big thank you to Miss Grego, Miss Ferguson, Mr Morris, Miss Brown and Mr Shelton, who accompanied the students on the day and offered them advice and praise for their efforts.
Thank you to those parents who joined us at Fairy Meadow to support the students.
Yours in Sport,
Miss Liska

NSW Police Force - RECRUITING NOW There have been many changes over the years in regard to the NSWPF recruitment process. As such, they have a new web-site and a new Facebook page that would be a great source of information to those students wanting to join. In addition, it would be beneficial to "like" the NSW Police Force Recruitment Branch Facebook page to stay updated on the process and requirements.
