News, Updates & Reminders: 6/23

Good Morning E.L.M. Families,

Happy Friday! Today we will celebrate several milestones. Our kindergarten students will be moving up in a promotion ceremony at 11:00am and our 6th grade students will be graduating at 1:30pm today. It will be an exciting and bittersweet day.

Our last day of school for all students will be Monday, June 26th, which will also be early dismissal at 11:30am. Report cards will be sent home on Monday, and for those students not in attendance, then you can expect to receive them in the mail.

We wish to send a fond farewell to those families that will be leaving us this year and extend a great, big welcome to the new ones that will be joining us. Please know that we appreciate all of our families, and thank you for sharing and entrusting us with your beautiful children. You are and always will be a part of the Emma Miller family.

Finally, we CONGRATULATE our 6th grade class for completing their elementary, academic career with us. They are a special group of students that will be greatly missed. Congratulations to Ava, Traylen, Cole, Coleson and Lucas and best of luck in middle school!

Planning Ahead:

* Be on the lookout in late July or early August for a mid-summer update. If you would like to remove, add, or change any email for this newsletter, please let me know and I'd be happy to make those changes. All families leaving E.L.M. this year will be automatically removed after the end of the school year.

* Preschool Families: Good news, the cost for preschool will remain the same for the 23-24 school year. The cost is $25.00 per week for Savoy residents and $100 per week for school choice students. This amount is billed for every week of the school year no matter how many days there are in any given week and/or if a student is absent.

* Aftercare Families: We are committed to keeping our Aftercare program open for next year. The cost for the program will be determined once we know how many students will be attending and how many staff we will need. We will be soliciting this information from all families in mid-summer. Be on the lookout.

PTG News:

* The next Savoy Loop Race meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 18th at 5:00pm at the school.

Health & Safety Updates:

* Medications will be ready for release on Monday morning. We will need a signature for the release of these medications. Thank you.
