Plano Middle School Weekly Update

First of all - Great Job all last week to so many of you. The reports and feedback we heard from the teachers was that so many students far exceeded their expectations with the transition to remote learning. We were so excited to be able to have every student in class 4 days! So please keep up the hard work and let's finish the semester strong!

Please have a look at the Remote Learning Schedule that will be in effect for Dec. 1st - Jan. 19th.

Attendance will be taken for all periods of the day. Students be sure to be attending your Zoom classes Tuesday through Friday. Parents not able to be home but wanting updates on if your student is logging in and attending Zoom classes? You can sign-up to receive Attendance Email Notifications through your PowerSchool Account! Here's How:

1. Parents: Log into PowerSchool using your login/password.

2. Click on "Email Notification". That will take you here:

3. Click to check the boxes for the attendance notifications you want to receive.

4. Select the frequency as well as any email addresses (beyond what is in PowerSchool) that you want notifications to go to.

5. Click on "Submit" at the bottom right corner of the page to save your choices.

6. You will now receive notifications for attendance.

Also, our district is is providing FREE breakfast and lunch to ALL CHILDREN in the community 18 and under. Elementary children will receive FREE meals when they are in-person in the schools, regardless of their eligibility for free, reduced, or full pay. All families are also eligible to pick up meals on Mondays and Thursdays between the hours of 8:30am -9:30am, 11:30am-12:30pm and 5pm-6pm, for all children in their household 18 and under!

Art supplies need to be returned for sanitization.
(Rulers, Sharpies, Watercolor Pencils and Brushes)

You may keep: leftover paper, pencils, erasers and regular colored pencils

Art Supplies can be returned to the table inside the main entrance to Plano MS Monday, December 14th - Friday, December 18th between 7 am and 7 pm.

From December 14th - 18th, our Student Council members have arranged for a virtual spirit week they've named Dress-up Week. During your zoom classes next week you can show your spirit and be comfy while you're working hard!
