Patriot Peek at the Week
November 23rd & 24th
A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Patriot Students and Families,
I am saddened that I will not be able to see our students here at school this week and during the time period between our Thanksgiving and Winter breaks. However, in just the past few days I have spent much of my time contact tracing and unfortunately informing parents that their child was a close contact to a positive case. The safety of our students is my first priority. As much as I want our students to be here at Wolf Ridge, I know this pause in in-person instruction is needed right now. I hope you all understand how much our staff cares about our students and will genuinely miss them in our classrooms and hallways.
Together, we can make this remote period a positive one for students. We need your help to set up a good learning routine for your child and encourage them along the way. We will try to stay consistent with our schedules and live instruction throughout remote learning. Teachers can be contacted via email or by calling the school office and leaving a message for them to return your call. Ms. Meisenheimer will again serve as our "go-to" for any of your questions regarding technology. We will also have our aides working as tutors and making check-in phone calls to individual students that may need extra support. If you feel your child could benefit from additional help, please email me at sronen@bhusd.org. Ms. Manar is also available to help support your entire family. She can be reached via email at tmanar@bhcusd.org. Please do not hesitate to ask for help. We know these are difficult times. We want to be there for you and your family.
Just as I have throughout this school year, video announcements for the week will be embedded into this weekly newsletter and my virtual principal's office. Please incorporate watching these videos as a part of your Monday morning routine to start the week off right. This will also ensure that you stay updated on any special events or valuable information needed while remote. Please also check your email and encourage students to check their email daily for messages from our teachers. We want to stay connected!
Thank you in advance for your support. Don't forget that we will only have two days of remote learning this week. I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Mrs. Ronen
Weekly Wolf Ridge Announcements
We are 1:1 with Devices K-12!
Prior to this school year, our 3rd-12th grade students were already provided with either a Chromebook or laptop. Last week, our second-grade students were issued Chromebooks and our kindergarten and first-grade students were each given iPads. If your child is in one of these grade levels and was not issued a device, please call the office and arrange a time for pick up. All students that registered online already completed an electronic device agreement. Parents of kindergarten students or students new to the district need to complete this agreement prior to being issued a device.
Any preschool student that does not have access to a device at home can request one by calling the office. Those needing a device will be issued an iPad once the contract agreement is signed and returned
We are excited to be able to provide our students with these needed devices for remote instruction. If you have questions or need assistance with how to use your device effectively, please email Ms. Meisenheimer at mmeisenheimer@bhcusd.org.
