We have noticed that students' backpacks are becoming quite full and heavy. Please encourage your students to go through their backpack and clean out anything they do not use on a daily basis. All students have a locker, but very few students choose to use their locker throughout the day. Students can lighten their load by visiting their locker before school, before lunch, after lunch, and after school.

EBSL (Elmhurst Baseball Softball League) registration is open for Spring/Summer softball and baseball leagues. Registration is open through the end of February. EBSL is open to anyone living in the Salt Creek 48 District (it is not exclusive to Elmhurst residents). Leagues are open to boys/girls up to and including 8th grade students. EBSL is also in need of kids to umpire games. Umpiring is a paid position and a really great first job that is open to kids 12 and older. All the details can be found at the following link.

Please make sure that your child charges their Chromebook every night and brings it to school everyday. It helps to put a reminder on the refrigerator or door, to remind your child to put their Chromebook in their backpack everyday!

Students can bring cellphones and air pods to school if they remain turned off and in their back pack. Please remind your student that if they are brining a cellphone or air pods to school, that they needs to stay in their backpack while at school. It is only for emergency use only.

Students who are NOT CALLED IN TO SCHOOL are UNEXCUSED. Please email Mrs. Beckwith or call the attendance line and leave a message with a reason when your child is absent.

NO MORE E-PAY! We have rolled out a new way to pay for lunches, school fees and activity fees for students. You can sign up here https://saltcreek48.revtrak.net/. Or you can go to your parent portal in skyward, click on the fee payment tile, then in the far right hand top corner click on the "make online payments" button. This will take you to Revtrak. Make sure to sign up before you try to make payment. Once you can sign in, click the Make a Payment button in the middle of the page. This new service will streamline the payments so you can make a payment or set up recurring payments. This is directly connected to Skyward so you see the money immediately go to your child's account. If you have any questions please email or call your school office.

As a reminder, all 6th graders and any new/transfer students are required to have a dental examination on file by May 15th, 2023. The dental exam must be dated between November 15th, 2021 - May 15th, 2023. The link to the Illinois Dental Exam form is below. It is also available on our school website.
