Director of Operations

As of June 20, we have served 1,729 breakfasts and 3,006 lunches for our Summer Program. The last day for Summer School is June 24. These numbers have returned to what we served pre-COVID.

The installation of the serving line at I.W. Evans has been moved to the month of July due to supply chain issues.

Phyllis will be attending the Texas Association of School Nutrition (TASN) the week of June 27th. This is the conference that hosts a very large food show and her goal is to have some new menu ideas for this upcoming school year.

We have been working with GCEC to finalize phone numbers and locations for the new phone system installation, which is set for July 5-7.
We have also been working with campus librarians to update our Chromebook inventories by removing outdated devices and adding new devices.
Additionally, we are updating our district inventory by confirming assets on each campus, as well as removing outdated and unwanted devices. The added and/or removed devices then are documented in the Eduphoria inventory system.
The technology storage room became overcrowded, so reorganizing and cleaning our tech room became another project. Mrs. Holcomb organized a few student volunteers to help get us started by organizing and sorting cables and other items. The volunteers each worked for two hours: Cesili Crum, Abigail McFarland, Victoria Moya, Maggie Vaught, and Felix Waller; they were a huge help!
At the end of June, we will be archiving and rolling over our software programs for the new school year. We do this each summer to update our student and staff user profiles, as well as receive updated versions of the programs we use.

Seven split, HVAC units are being replaced at Bailey Inglish/Administration.
The grounds crews are staying busy with mowing and edging due to the sunshine.
The Finley-Oates driveway and BHS parking lot projects are in full swing.
We are doing our best to catch up on all work orders. Our goal is a 100% completion before August 1st.
