For those parents/guardians that missed the email with their Rooms invite, we will be sending them out again on Monday the 17th via text message.

Encourage your students to go by the MHS Library to check out the neat activities that Mrs. Giberson has set up. She is also interested in knowing what books the students would like to see on the shelves.

Alcohol is the most widely used substance among America’s youth and can cause them enormous health and safety risks. Underage drinking is dangerous because:

• It can cause death and/or injury
• Impairs judgment
• Increases risk of assault
• Can lead to alcohol problems later in life
• Interferes with brain development

Kids are influenced by so many of their surroundings - friends, teachers, celebrities, pop culture - yet parents are the leading influence on their kids’ decisions to drink - or not to drink alcohol. Talk to your children early and often about the dangers of underage drinking - they’ll listen.

A group of parents have come together to form the Dragon Athletics Booster Club. If you are interested in joining, please email dragonsathleticboosterclub@gmail.com or contact the organization through the Facebook page - Dragon Athletics Booster Club.

This will be a great way to support 7th - 12th grade Dragon athletes and programs. Membership is $20 per family this year.

The Mountainburg Board of Education meets once a month unless a special meeting is needed. A study session will be held at 5:15 and the business session will be at 6:00 PM. Meetings are held downstairs in the Mountainburg Administration Building.
