The Walker Talker

On behalf of the Walker Career Center team, we would like to say Welcome Back and Happy New Year! We are thankful to start off the new year with several of our career programs continuing to meet in person while welcoming back a few additional programs this week as well.

Students in Culinary Arts jumped right into the kitchen this week and put together some delicious looking Roasted Chicken!

Individuals in Auto Collision are continuing to smooth out the race car while also working on bringing this beautiful Wrangler back to it's original beauty.

Mr. Criswell was able to give a tour of the ETE career programs today to his Intro students by utilizing Zoom on his mobile device and walking from program to program. These tours are vital to our programs as we enter recruitment season.

As we started 2nd semester on January 4th this week, I wanted to remind families that Walker Career Center has been granted permission to continue operating all of its 2-4 hour programs under the current hybrid structure. Students will attend in person instruction based upon their last name. Students with the last name A-K will attend in-person Mondays and Wednesdays. Students with the last names L-Z will attend Tuesday and Thursdays. Friday’s will alternate with A-K attending Friday, January 8th (see Calendar below).

Safety precautions will remain in place across our campus, so we expect no interruptions in programming as we move through the spring semester.
