Williams Parent Bulletin
January 2023
We're looking forward to a wonderful 2023...
Welcome to 2023! We hope that you enjoyed spending time with your Wildcats during winter break. In the new year, please continue supporting us in keeping our Wildcats safe as they arrive and leave school every day. Don't forget that we will keep closing our school parking lot during peak arrival and dismissal times. As you may have noticed, we have had an increase in the number of students out due to illness this winter. Please see our office staff If you are in need of additional COVID tests and notify is if your child will be absent.
Your input is very important to us! As such, we have partnered with Families In Schools to host family focus groups to hear from you about how we can improve family engagement at Williams. We invite our families to join us on Thursday, 01/19/23 from 5:30-7:30 PM. Child care and snacks will be provided.
This month, we have a 3-day weekend (January 14-16) and are very excited to have our Wildcats participate in The Great Kindness Challenge. Please check out the spirit week activity calendar below!
In parent education news, we are very excited to invite our families to the "Achieving Well-Being" 3-week parenting series. The workshops will cover bullying, anxiety and depression. Workshops will be offered in English at Green JHS and in Spanish at Blackstock JHS beginning on Tuesday, January 17th. Families will be able to join the workshop in person or via Zoom. Please see the flyer below for more information.
Finally, a huge thank you goes out to our wonderful PTA for sponsoring the fundraiser dance on the last day of school before winter break. The kids had a blast!!!
Ms. Granado
School Principal
