Mill Valley Weekly
April 28th, 2022
Hello Mill Valley Families,
Continuing our monthly theme of community, we will be collecting cereal boxes for the Muskego Food Pantry during the first two weeks of May. To celebrate our donations, students will be challenged with creating a Cereal Box Domino Chain. This video shows an example of what we are aiming for. Please consider donating cereal boxes between May 2nd and May 13th. If every student in Mill Valley donates 1 box, we will be able to give the Muskego Food Pantry over 500 boxes!
Sincerely,
Robin Schrot, Principal
Allyce Harris, Associate Principal

IMPORTANT: every time you shop, you must be logged in through smile.amazon.com instead of the regular amazon.com. This is the only way PTO would receive the contribution. Happy shopping!
- Students have until 9:10am to get settled into their classroom. Students who are still in the hall at that time will be marked TCU (tardy classroom unexcused)

Student Summit Information - August 2022
The last few months you have seen our Student Summit “Save the Date” flyer regarding an exciting opportunity for students, families and teachers! We are looking forward to hosting our first district-wide Elementary Student Summit on August 25th and 29th. To begin the 2021-2022 school year, we ran a pilot of this event and received overwhelmingly positive feedback. Moving into the 2022-2023 school year, we are excited to offer this opportunity to all families.
The purpose is to support the transition into a new school year by learning information about a student and for a student to begin building a relationship with their teacher. All participating students will engage in a get to know you activity and possibly be given the opportunity to complete beginning of the year academic assessments. Parents/guardians are asked to stay on site to engage with materials from their child’s teacher.
You will receive additional information the week of August 8th. This communication will include the option to select a time slot on either August 25th or August 29th. There will be evening times available on August 25th. We ask that you stay at the building while your child is meeting with their teacher. Once you receive our summer communication, please complete the registration by Thursday, August 18th.
