Dismissal Reminder

Please make sure you contact the office if there is a change in your child's dismissal routine. Teachers don't always get your e-mail or text messages prior to dismissal. By adding the change to the end of the day list, updated by the building secretary, teachers are more likely to get the message in time. Thank you for your cooperation!

Young Fives & Kindergarten Pre-registration

Parents of children, who will be age five by December 1, 2019, are encouraged to pre-register their child for Young Fives or Kindergarten for the 2019-20 school year beginning Monday, January 28th. A formal registration night will be held on March 7th at 6:30 p.m. at Hemlock Elementary.

We are excited to announce the ESS Art Contest 2019 will be starting on February 4th! The contest is open to public and charter school students in grades K-12 throughout the continental United States.

Quick Facts About the Contest


1. The contest information is located at ArtContest.ESS.com.

2. To enter, students must submit a drawing or painting with an image representing “What would it be like to have class

in outer space?”.

3. The contest ends on April 8th, 8:00 pm EST.

4. The top five finalists in each grade group will be featured on ESS’ Facebook and Instagram during the week of

April 15th for public voting.

5. Winners will be announced on April 29th

.

6. Winning students will receive a $500 gift card, plus a $500 gift card for their school.

7. Attached is an 8.5 x 11 digital flyer for you to print and distribute.
