If your 8th grade student is not attending LHS, please let Mrs. Azzato know by June 5th.

It is finally here! Graduation is on Thursday, May 30 and the 8th grade dance is THIS Friday, May 24 from 7-10 pm. The kids are SO excited, so let's all help send them off in style and celebrate their accomplishments at OGS. 8th grade families should have received a letter in the mail last week explaining the details and expectations for this much anticipated event. On Friday, an email was sent to all volunteers with their assignments and decorating procedures. We need all available 8th grade parents to help, so if you still wish to sign up please email Krista Sorensen . Thank you so much to those who have already volunteered. We appreciate all the support you have given to OGS over the years. We couldn't do it without wonderful volunteers like you. Thanks for making this a fun and memorable event for our 8th graders!

Congratulations to Oak Grove School Education Foundation Soaring Eagle Scholarship winners Harley Baskin and Matthew Huang. Dr. Lemon and Mrs. Timlin were honored to recognize Harley and Matthew at the LHS Awards ceremony last week. Harley and Matthew were chosen for truly embodying the Oak Grove spirit and each received a $1000 scholarship to use toward their post-graduate studies.
“Matthew is an outstanding and well-rounded young man. He has always been very diligent in his studies and an extremely hard worker. He has earned the respect of his classmates as well as his teachers. We know he will make a difference in our world. Congratulations, we are proud of you.”

Our last PTO meeting will be this Wednesday, May 22nd @ 9am in the Junior High cafeteria. We will be honoring our 3 retiring teachers: Kathy Mahoney, Kathy Schmidt and Gayle Timlin. All are welcome!

Pre-Pack School Supplies
The PTO is offering pre-pack school supplies again this year! Save time AND support the Oak Grove PTO. This program is offered by Teacher Tailored and all non-consumable products are guaranteed for the 2019-2020 school year. If an item breaks, Teacher Tailored will replace it. Track and Field
Please return all uniforms to Coach Edelson as soon as possible.
Congratulations to 7th grader, Logan Howard, who competed in the IESA State Track and Field Meet in East Peoria on Friday. She represented Oak Grove in the 100 Meter Dash, and competed against some of the best athletes in Illinois. Way to go, Logan!
Thank you for another great season! We wish our 8th graders the best of luck in high school, and look forward to working with the other athletes in the future.
