Teacher Appreciation Month

Please join us in celebrating some of the hardest working, most caring teachers around. Each day in May we will celebrate a Buchanan High School Teacher and honor their dedication to their students and school community. I couldn't ask to be a part of a more cohesive, loving, comical bunch of teachers and I am so proud to be a part of this BUCK FAMILY!

Mrs. Watkins is such a fun teacher to have for physics. I love her labs and that she wants to keep us doing hands on activities instead of book work. She always takes into consideration how our class likes to learn and I appreciate her thoughtfulness and dedication to our class.

Mrs. Watkins, I thank you for making physics fun. The way you incorporate fun labs into our week really helps me better understand the material.

Mrs. Watkins- you are such a great person, teacher, and coach! I remember running hurdles when you ran beside me to time me. You always encouraging me and I really miss doing track and hurdles with you.

Mrs. Watkins, your class was a weird one for me. I’m not a huge math person and I’m in your physics class. I thought I was going to struggle, but I didn’t. Your class became very fun and I looked forward to it a lot. I made some very great friends and a best friend in your class and I thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to work in groups. You’re a great teacher and I am excited to finish the year with a super fun looking project!

Mrs. Watkins is an excellent teacher. I have not had her since 8th grade, but she has still remained active in my education. She is an excellent track coach and I am crushed about the loss of this season. I miss her and am excited for my senior year season.

Mrs. Watkins is a very nice lady. She is so soft spoken yet she can make sure she encourages those on the track team during any season of the year! She is an amazing person and I am so glad to have her as an athletic coach.

Ms. Watkins: She is amazing in a lot of ways when it comes to learning both in and out of the classroom. Science has always been my favorite subject. I am excited to see what lessons, labs or sometimes even homework that she has planned for that day. I also like that sometimes she will have projects where the students get to teach the class and we can be creative. Some when it comes to the labs, the experiments she has us do are all so fun as well. To me she is a fun teacher to be around. She is very helpful and encouraging to all of us to try out hardest and to succeed, also hopefully graduate. I miss being in her classroom!!!!

Dear Mrs. Watkins, Thank you for teaching me about physics. I'm certain this information will be invaluable in my time at college.

I had Ms. Watkins in 8th grade and when I found out that she was teaching Chemistry this year, I got so excited! I knew that the class was going to be easier with her teaching it because I understand her teaching techniques more than any other teacher. Ms. Watkins is always there to help if we need it. Sometimes the work is hard to understand, but I know that she is only preparing us for our future. I am so happy that I had the best Chemistry teacher ever!

I like Mrs Watkins because she is a super nice teacher that understands we all have lives and doesn’t assign a lot of homework and makes sure everyone gets what they need to and she is a very sweet and optimistic teacher

Mrs. Watkins, I love that she really cares about me and when she sees me upset she makes sure that I am okay.

Mrs. Watkins is truly one of the kindest people I've ever met! Her positivity creates a really welcoming learning environment.

Walktins- I liked that she is helpful for when i have work that needs redoing.

Mrs. Watkins is my fifth hour teacher, I love how organizing my work is incredibly easy in that class with the organizing system for grading papers. It's by far the easiest science class I've had, and science has not been kind to me.

Ms.Watkins is always there for you if you need help and is amazing with putting up with attitude.
