Medications
We must receive Epi-Pens and/or inhalers, along with your child's asthma or allergy plan, before their first day with us. Email your site supervisor to arrange drop off on or after August 22.
If your child won't attend on the first day of school, you may bring in the
medication and asthma/allergy plan during Early Risers or ASAP before their first day.
Epi-Pens and/or inhalers must be in original prescription packaging, in a clear bag,
labeled with your child's name and a recent photo.
Please note: ASAP staff cannot store or administer any other medication, including
Benadryl. Administration for all other medication must be arranged before the end of the
school day.
Drop Off and Pick Up
Early Risers opens at 7AM. Please do not arrive before then, as we are setting up for the day. For their safety, children must be walked to the door and a caregiver must communicate with a staff member before leaving.
ASAP closes at 6PM. Caregivers may pick up anytime between school dismissal and 6PM. Anyone picking up a child from ASAP must (1) be listed as an authorized pickup for that child in EZChildtrack.com and (2) show a photo ID. Authorized pickups must be 18 or older. Email asap@natickps.org to request an exception to this age limit.
See your site newsletter for information about how children are dismissed from school to ASAP, and where you should go to drop off and pick up.
* Remember that Early Risers and ASAP does not open for Kindergarteners until Friday, September 2!
Child Not Coming to ASAP Today?
Any time your child will not attend ASAP, you must let us know.
All elementary schools use PickUp Patrol for dismissal changes. As long as the change is submitted before the school-specific cut-off time, you won't need to contact ASAP separately. Making the change in PickUp Patrol is all you need to do!
PickUp Patrol is only used at elementary schools. Middle school families must notify Wilson or Kennedy ASAP if your child will be absent.
Your child's school will send information about PickUp Patrol 2022-23.
When a child is absent from ASAP without notice, we enact our missing child protocol. Repeated "no come, no calls" may jeopardize enrollment.
You do not need to notify us if your child will be absent from Early Risers.
* Please note - if your child does not attend school or is dismissed before the end of the day, they may not attend ASAP.
What to Bring to ASAP
- A labeled water bottle.
- Weather-appropriate clothes/outerwear. We do our best to go outside every day. Please check the forecast!
- Sneakers for the gym and playground.
- An extra set of clothing. Some friends get so caught up in the fun they forget to use the restroom. We provide lots of scheduled times and reminders. However, we still suggest backup clothes for all - even middle schoolers - just in case. Please label everything!
- If your child needs sunscreen or bug spray please pack one they can apply. ASAP staff may not provide or apply sunscreen/bug spray.
- We provide a snack each afternoon, but you are welcome to pack something if you'd like. If you do, consider packing it separate from school lunch and snack.
What NOT to Bring
- Toys from home. Toys brought from home to after school can get lost, damaged, or lead to hurt feelings. Except for special days when all children are invited to bring them, we ask that they stay at home.
- Electronic devices. We want children to socialize, complete homework, play outside or in the gym, and participate in activities! We do not have secure storage for expensive devices. Therefore, we do not allow the use of personal electronic devices at ASAP except on special days when our middle schoolers may be invited to bring them in. We have access to computers or tablets for use during homework.
Schedule Changes
Requests submitted by the 20th of the month go into effect on the first of the following month.
August 20th is the last day to make changes for September.
Billing and Enrollment
- Invoices are emailed on the 1st of the month. Payment is due on the 20th.
- Need to update demographic or medical information? Check your child's schedule? Find your current balance? Log in to the Parent Portal.
- Email asap@natickps.org with login issues or to change info not accessible in the Portal.
- We ask that all families who can pay online, do so. Did you know you can pay ASAP tuition online by check for only $.50? Save a stamp and pay by check online!
Homework Time
Each ASAP site offers a supervised homework time Mondays through Thursdays for grades 1 through 8.
We will ensure that the space stays quiet, support organization, clarify directions, prompt to stay on task, and help make connections between lessons and assignments.
If you would your child to participate, you both must sign our Homework Contract, which will be available after school starts.
Financial Assistance
The NPS Financial Assistance Application is separate from that for free and reduced meals/bus fees. Even if you qualify for those, you must still submit this application for ASAP and/or Early Risers.
Decisions are made by the NPS Business Office. Applications must be submitted to: Natick Public Schools, Attn: Business Office, 13 East Central Street, Natick, MA 01760
